Shigeru Ueda (うえだしげる, Ueda Shigeru, May 11, 1963) is a freelancer anime director. His name written in kanji is 上田 茂.
He should not be confused with fellow anime director of the same name but different kanji Shigeru Ueda (上田 繁).
