Wood Job!

"Wood Job!" follows the journey of Yuki Hirano, portrayed by Shota Sometani, a young man who faces disappointment after failing his university entrance exam. Seeking a new direction, Yuki seizes an opportunity to become a forestry trainee, a path far removed from his initial academic aspirations. As he embarks on this unconventional career, doubt and uncertainty cloud his decisions, challenging him to reconsider his choices and future.

Under the guidance of his mentor, Naoki Ishii, played by Masami Nagasawa, Yuki undergoes rigorous training that tests both his physical endurance and mental resolve. Throughout the training course, Yuki grapples with the demands of forestry work, gradually gaining skills and confidence. His perseverance pays off when he successfully completes the program, earning a placement in the remote Kamusari Village for a year-long work experience.

In Kamusari Village, Yuki immerses himself in a life intertwined with nature and community. Surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and the genuine kindness of the villagers, he experiences personal growth and a newfound appreciation for the environment. This transformative year not only hones his forestry abilities but also leads to meaningful connections, ultimately reshaping his outlook on life and career.
