"Wild Target" follows Victor Maynard, a lonely, middle-aged assassin dedicated to pleasing his overbearing mother and known for his exceptional skill. His life takes an unexpected turn when he falls for Rose, one of his intended targets, and ends up with a young apprentice. Mistaken for a private detective by his new companions, Victor tries to evade the wrath of a vengeful client alongside them. Notably, Martin Freeman and Emily Blunt bring charm and wit to their roles as Victor and Rose, respectively. An interesting trivia is that the film is a remake of a 1993 British film of the same name, though it brings a fresh comedic twist. Also, Emily Blunt performed many of her own stunts, adding authenticity to her character's adventurous spirit. Lastly, the chemistry between Freeman and Blunt was so natural that many scenes were improvised, enhancing the film's humor and spontaneity.
