
Under the Tuscan Sun follows Frances, a 35-year-old writer and professor from San Francisco, portrayed by Diane Lane. After a difficult divorce, Frances takes a spontaneous trip to Tuscany, inspired by her friends' encouragements. There, she impulsively purchases Bramasole, a dilapidated villa in the Tuscan countryside. As she renovates her new home, Frances begins to rebuild her life and discovers that life can bring unexpected joys and new beginnings.
