The Legend of ShenLi is an epic fantasy film that tells the story of the last god in the world, Xingzhi, and the queen of the devil world, Shen Li. For tens of thousands of years, Xingzhi, also known as the God of Action, has lived in solitude in the heavens, earning a reputation for his ruthlessness and lack of desire. His involvement in the battle between the immortals and demons turned the tide and left the world in awe, but his whereabouts have since been unknown.

Meanwhile, Shen Li, the queen of the devil world, is used to a life of luxury and power. However, on the occasion of her thousand-year-old birthday, she finds herself facing the prospect of a political marriage. In a desperate attempt to escape, Shen Li is transformed back into her original form as a phoenix and falls to the mortal world, injured and comatose. It is here that she is discovered by a mortal hawker, who sees her as nothing more than a fat chicken and proceeds to pluck all her feathers and lock her in a cage to sell.

The story truly begins when the paths of Xingzhi and Shen Li intertwine through a seemingly casual transaction. With Shen Li's true identity as the queen of the devil world still a secret, the two form an unlikely bond as they navigate through the complexities of the mortal world. Xingzhi, with his immense power and otherworldly wisdom, becomes a protector for Shen Li, who in turn, teaches him about the beauty and fragility of mortal life. Together, they embark on a journey of self-discovery, love, and redemption, all while trying to uncover the truth about Shen Li's past and the secrets of the devil world.
