"Summer Rain" tells the story of Miskei, the charismatic president of a co-op, who falls deeply in love with Mari, the neglected wife of the much older Pató. Mari, feeling trapped and mistreated by her arrogant husband, yearns for affection and a child. As Miskei witnesses Pató's harsh and humiliating treatment of Mari, his passion intensifies. During a heavy summer rainstorm, fate brings Miskei and Mari together in an abandoned press house, where he boldly confesses his love. Although Mari initially rejects him, Miskei persists with gentle and sincere compliments, slowly winning her trust. Eventually, Mari leaves her husband at dawn to pursue a new life and education in the city, seeking the tenderness and freedom she desires.
