Cast and Crew of Street Trash

Street Trash

"Street Trash" is a cult horror-comedy film about a group of homeless individuals who start melting into colorful heaps of goo after consuming a mysterious sixty-year-old liquor. Amidst this bizarre outbreak, a deranged Vietnam War veteran who dominates the hobo camp goes on a killing spree. Two brothers take it upon themselves to halt both the lethal liquor and the rampant violence to save the community.

Trivia:
1. The film is known for its practical effects, particularly the melting scenes, which were achieved using inventive, low-budget techniques, including a mixture of various gelatinous substances.
2. "Street Trash" was shot in New York City during the mid-1980s and is renowned for its authentic portrayal of the homeless community, with many extras actually being homeless individuals.
3. Director J. Michael Muro later achieved wider recognition as Joe Mantegna's stunt double and for his work in the film industry under the name Joe Mantegna.
