The 1999 animated musical comedy 'South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut' is a hilarious and irreverent take on censorship, war, and the responsibilities of parenthood. The film is based on the popular animated television show 'South Park' created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, and features many of the same characters that appear in the series. The voice cast is impressive, with both Parker and Stone playing multiple main characters, as well as providing additional voices throughout the film. Some of the notable characters played by Parker include Stan Marsh, Eric Cartman, Satan, Mr. Garrison, Mr. Hat, Phillip Niles Argyle, Randy Marsh, Clyde Donovan, Tom - News Reporter, Midget In A Bikini, Canadian Ambassador, Bombardiers, Mr. Mackey, Army General, Ned Gerblanski, Christophe - Ze Mole (or The Mole), Big Gay Al (singing), Adolf Hitler, and Additional Voices. On the other hand, Stone provides the voices for Kyle Broflovski, Kenny McCormick, Saddam Hussein, Terrance Henry Stoot, Big Gay Al, Ticket Taker, Stuart McCormick, Jimbo Kearn, Gerald Broflovski, Butters Stotch, and Additional Voices.
The film's plot revolves around the four young boys of South Park, Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman, and Kenny McCormick, who sneak into an R-rated movie featuring the Canadian comedy duo Terrance and Philip. The boys are immediately fascinated by the duo's crude humor, and begin repeating their catchphrases in school, much to the chagrin of their parents and teachers. The adults in the town become concerned that the boys have been "corrupted" by the movie, and pressure the United States government to take action against Canada, the home of Terrance and Philip.
As the situation escalates, the United States declares war on Canada, and the boys become caught up in the chaos. Meanwhile, the devil, voiced by Parker, plots to take over the world with the help of his lover, Saddam Hussein, voiced by Stone. The film is a hilarious satire of American jingoism, censorship, and the role of popular culture in shaping young minds. It is a must-watch for fans of the television show, as well as for anyone who enjoys sharp, witty humor and catchy musical numbers.
