"Principal: Am I In a Love Story?" follows Shima Sumitomo, a high school girl who moves to Hokkaido after her parents' divorce. Struggling with her uncomfortable home life with her stepfather and social isolation, she starts anew at her father's place and a new school. There, she encounters Gen Tatebayashi and Wao Sakurai, the two most popular boys with a school rule declaring "Gen and Wao are for everyone," with ostracization as punishment for breaking this. Despite this, Shima forms a unique bond with both.
