Ulrich Thomsen is a renowned Danish actor born on Fyn, Denmark. He graduated from the Danish National School of Theatre and Contemporary Dance in 1993 and subsequently performed at several renowned theaters in Copenhagen, including Dr. Dantes Aveny, Mungo Park, and Østre Gasværks Teater. Thomsen made his film debut in 1994 with "Nattevagten" (Nightwatch), directed by Ole Bornedal. He went on to appear in notable films such as Thomas Vinterberg's "De største Helte" (1996), Susanne Bier's "Sekten" (1997), and Anders Thomas Jensen's "Flickering Lights" (2000). His major breakthrough came with the critically acclaimed 1998 film "Festen," followed by an important role as henchman Sasha Davidov in the 1999 James Bond film "The World Is Not Enough," which established him as an international actor beyond Denmark. In 2002, he further solidified his European acting career with a role in the English-language film "Killing Me Softly."
