About Seth Rogen
Seth Aaron Rogen, born on April 15, 1982, is a versatile Canadian-American actor, comedian, and filmmaker. He began his career as a stand-up comedian in Vancouver before relocating to Los Angeles, where he secured a role in Judd Apatow's cult classic series, Freaks and Geeks. This was followed by a significant role in the sitcom Undeclared, which not only showcased his acting skills but also marked the beginning of his journey as a writer. After contributing as a staff writer on the last season of Da Ali G Show, Rogen transitioned into film under Apatow's mentorship. His writing talents were recognized with a nomination for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series.
Rogen made his film debut with a minor role in Donnie Darko (2001), but his breakthrough came when he was cast in a supporting role and credited as a co-producer for Apatow's acclaimed directorial debut, The 40-Year-Old Virgin. His career continued to soar as he took on leading roles in Apatow’s subsequent films, including Knocked Up and Funny People. In 2015, he portrayed Steve Wozniak in the biopic Steve Jobs. Rogen also co-developed the AMC television series Preacher in 2016, collaborating with his writing partner Evan Goldberg and Sam Catlin, taking on various roles as a writer, executive producer, and director.
Furthermore, Rogen and Goldberg are behind the scripts of popular films such as Superbad, Pineapple Express, The Green Hornet, This Is the End, as well as directorial efforts like This Is the End and The Interview, all of which featured Rogen prominently. His voice talents have also contributed to a number of animated films, including Shrek the Third, Horton Hears a Who!, the Kung Fu Panda trilogy, The Spiderwick Chronicles, Monsters vs. Aliens, Paul, Sausage Party, the 2019 remake of The Lion King, and the anticipated The Super Mario Bros. Movie.
