Saul Rubinek, born on July 2, 1948, is a Canadian actor known for his work in both film and television. In addition to acting, he has also taken on roles as a director and producer of feature-length films. Rubinek was born in Föhrenwald, Wolfratshausen, Germany. He is the son of Polish Jewish parents, Frania and Israel Rubinek. His father was a factory worker, theatre company manager, Yiddish theatre actor, and Talmudic scholar. During World War II, his parents were hidden by Polish farmers for over two years before emigrating to Canada in 1948.
