Robin McLaurin Williams (July 21, 1951 – August 11, 2014) was a celebrated American actor and stand-up comedian, best known for his vibrant performances and unique comedic style. He skyrocketed to fame with his iconic portrayal of the extraterrestrial Mork in the beloved TV series "Mork & Mindy" (1978–1982). Following this success, Williams carved out a remarkable career in both stand-up comedy and feature films. His impressive filmography includes critically acclaimed works such as "The World According to Garp" (1982), "Good Morning, Vietnam" (1987), "Dead Poets Society" (1989), "Awakenings" (1990), "The Fisher King" (1991), and "Good Will Hunting" (1997), the latter earning him an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.
