About Richard Madden
Meet Richard Madden, a talented Scottish actor who began his acting journey at the tender age of 11! He made his screen debut in 2000 and further honed his craft as a student at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. In 2007, he toured with Shakespeare's Globe company as none other than Romeo in Romeo and Juliet, a role he reprised in the West End in 2016.
Madden's big break came in 2011 when he played Robb Stark in the critically acclaimed fantasy drama series Game of Thrones, which catapulted him to fame. He then graced our screens as Prince Kit in the romantic fantasy film Cinderella in 2015 and as Italian banker Cosimo de' Medici in the first season of the historical fiction series Medici in 2016.
In 2018, Madden's performance as a police officer in the thriller series Bodyguard earned him widespread acclaim, including a Golden Globe Award. The following year, he was named one of Time's 100 most influential people in the world. Madden continued to shine in supporting roles as John Reid in the biopic Rocketman and a soldier in the war film 1917.
More recently, Madden has taken on the role of Ikaris in the Marvel Cinematic Universe superhero film Eternals in 2021 and a spy in the action thriller series Citadel in 2023. With his undeniable talent and versatility, Madden has become a household name in the entertainment industry.
