About Nava Mau
Nava Mau is a multi-talented Mexican-American filmmaker, actress, and cultural worker. Born in Mexico City, she was brought up in San Antonio, Texas. In 2018, she showcased her versatility by writing, producing, directing, and starring in the short film "Waking Hour," which was screened at various international film festivals. Nava was also chosen as a Production Fellow for the Netflix documentary "Disclosure." She will soon be seen as a series regular on the HBO Max series "Generation."
For eight years, Nava dedicated her time to healing justice and culture change, working with community-based service providers, student organizations, and survivors of violence. Her ultimate goal is to shed light on the stories of underrepresented individuals, thereby improving their access to resources.
