About Monica Barbaro
Monica Barbaro, an accomplished former ballet dancer, made the transition to acting and quickly made her mark on the small screen. She gained attention for her portrayal of Yael, also known as "Hot Rachel," on the second season of Lifetime's hit series UnREAL. As a nemesis to Shiri Appleby's character, Barbaro's performance was a memorable one.
Barbaro continued to impress when she joined the cast of NBC's legal drama Chicago Justice as a lead. As Anna Valdez, a sharp-witted Assistant State’s Attorney, she brought depth and intelligence to the role. Her well-educated and quick-tongued character was a standout in Dick Wolf's Chicago franchise.
In addition to her work on Chicago Justice, Barbaro has also appeared on the ABC sitcom Splitting Up Together as Lisa Apple, Martin's new girlfriend. Her recurring role on the show has been well-received by audiences.
