Megumi Hayashibara (林原 めぐみ), born on March 30, 1967, in Tokyo, is a renowned Japanese voice actress, singer, radio host, and lyricist. Affiliated with Aksent, she is affectionately known by several nicknames including Megu-san, Megu-nee, Bara-san, Kakka, and Daijin. Hayashibara has lent her voice to many iconic characters, such as the female version of Ranma Saotome in Ranma ½, Rei Ayanami in Neon Genesis Evangelion, Faye Valentine in Cowboy Bebop, Lina Inverse in Slayers, Ai Haibara in Detective Conan, Musashi (Jessie) of Team Rocket in Pokémon, Atsuko Natsume and Atsuko Higuchi in All Purpose Cultural Catgirl Nuku Nuku and its OVA Nuku Nuku Dash!, as well as Anna Kyoyama in Shaman King.
