He first gained attention in the 1990s with his comedic roles in films such as "Serial Mom" (1994), "Hackers" (1995), "Scream" (1996), "SLC Punk!" (1998), "She's All That" (1999), and "Summer Catch" (2001). He is perhaps best known for his iconic portrayal of Shaggy Rogers in the live-action "Scooby-Doo" movies (2002, 2004) and as the voice of Shaggy in animation since 2009, following the retirement of the original voice actor, Casey Kasem.
Throughout his career, Lillard has showcased his versatility by taking on both comedic and dramatic roles.
