About Mark Dacascos
Meet Mark Alan Dacascos, an American actor and martial artist who has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry! Born on February 26, 1964, Dacascos started his journey early, winning numerous karate and kung fu championships from the age of 7 to 18.
If you're a fan of Food Network's Iron Chef America, you'll recognize Dacascos as "the Chairman," a role he took on in 2005. He continued this role in Iron Chef Australia, presenting himself as the nephew of the original Japanese Iron Chef's chairman, Takeshi Kaga, although the two are not actually related.
Dacascos has also taken on various acting roles, including playing Eric Draven in The Crow: Stairway to Heaven, Eubulon, the Advent Master, on Kamen Rider Dragon Knight, the lead role of "Mani" in the French film Brotherhood of the Wolf, and the lead role of "Crying Freeman" in the film of the same name.
In addition to his acting and martial arts skills, Dacascos has also showcased his dance moves on season 9 of Dancing with the Stars, where he partnered with So You Think You Can Dance finalist Lacey Schwimmer. The pair made it to the 7th episode before being eliminated.
Most recently, Dacascos has been cast to reprise the role of Steve McGarrett's arch-nemesis, Wo Fat, in the modern remake of Hawaii Five-0 on CBS. With his diverse range of talents and skills, Dacascos is an exciting actor to keep an eye on!
