Kat Dennings, born Katherine Victoria Litwack on June 13, 1986, is an American actress who has made a name for herself in both television and film. She is best known for her roles as Max Black in the hit CBS sitcom 2 Broke Girls and as Darcy Lewis in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, appearing in Thor, Thor: The Dark World, WandaVision, and Thor: Love and Thunder. Dennings was raised in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, as the youngest of five children to parents Ellen Judith Litwack, a poet and speech therapist, and Gerald J. Litwack, a molecular pharmacologist and college professor. She was homeschooled for most of her education, only attending a traditional school for half a day at Friends' Central School. Dennings graduated high school at the age of 14 and moved to Los Angeles with her family to pursue acting full time under the stage name "Dennings".
