Holloway's family tree is quite fascinating, as he is related to Baptist preacher Dr. Dale Holloway and author and World War II prisoner of war Carl Holloway. Moreover, he is a descendant of Robert E. Lee, which adds to his rich heritage.
Before pursuing acting, Holloway tried his luck in the modeling world, gracing runways and print ads for prestigious brands such as Dolce & Gabbana, Calvin Klein, and Donna Karan. His first acting gig was in the TV show Angel, where he played the role of "Good Looking Guy" in 1999. He then went on to appear in various movies and TV shows, including Doctor Benny, Mi Amigo, Moving August, and Cold Heart.
Holloway's breakthrough role came in 2005 when he was cast as James "Sawyer" Ford in the critically acclaimed television series Lost.
