Growing up in an Irish-American neighborhood, Travolta was raised as a Roman Catholic and developed a passion for acting at a young age.

Travolta married actress Kelly Preston in 1991, and they have two children together, Jett and Ella Bleu. The couple has been open about their challenges and has sought marriage counseling to strengthen their relationship. Tragically, their son Jett passed away in 2009. In 2010, Travolta and Preston announced that they were expecting their third child.

In his free time, Travolta enjoys flying as a certified pilot and owns five aircraft, including a Boeing 707–138 airliner named "Jett Clipper Ella" in honor of his children. His $4.9 million estate in Ocala, Florida, is located on Greystone Airport, allowing him easy access to his planes.

Travolta has been a dedicated Scientologist since 1975, when he was given the book "Dianetics" while filming "The Devil's Rain" in Durango, Mexico. His faith has played a significant role in his life and career, and he remains a prominent figure in the Scientology community.
