About John Barrowman
John Scot Barrowman, born on March 11, 1967, is a Scottish-American entertainer celebrated for his talents as a singer, actor, dancer, and media personality. He gained widespread recognition in British television through his roles both as an actor and presenter, most notably portraying Captain Jack Harkness in the acclaimed science fiction series Doctor Who and its spin-off Torchwood. After moving from Scotland to the United States with his family at age nine, he cultivated his passion for music and theater in Illinois and pursued performing arts studies at the United States International University in San Diego.
