Jenna Lee Dewan, born on December 3, 1980, in Hartford, Connecticut, is an American actress and dancer renowned for her versatile talents. She began her career as a backup dancer for Janet Jackson and later collaborated with major artists such as Christina Aguilera, Pink, and Missy Elliott. Dewan rose to prominence with her role as Nora Clark in the 2006 dance film Step Up. She has appeared in various television series including the NBC show The Playboy Club, the FX series American Horror Story: Asylum, and portrayed Freya Beauchamp on Lifetime's Witches of East End. Additionally, she played Lucy Lane on The CW's Supergirl and its spin-off Superman & Lois, and starred as Joanna in Netflix's Soundtrack. Beyond acting, Dewan has hosted reality shows like World of Dance and Flirty Dancing, served as a judge on Come Dance with Me, and currently stars as Bailey on ABC's The Rookie, with a recurring role on FOX's medical drama The Resident. Raised in Grapevine, Texas, Dewan was a varsity cheerleader and prom queen in high school.
