Meet Brie Larson, an incredibly talented American actress and filmmaker! Born as Brianne Sidonie Desaulniers on October 1, 1989, she started her career as a regular in the 2001 sitcom Raising Dad and even tried her hand at music, releasing the album Finally Out of P.E. in 2005.
Brie's career took off with supporting roles in comedies like Hoot (2006), Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010), and 21 Jump Street (2012). She also captivated audiences with her portrayal of a sarcastic teenager in the television series United States of Tara (2009-2011).
Her breakthrough role came in the acclaimed independent drama Short Term 12 (2013), and she continued to shine in supporting parts in The Spectacular Now (2013) and the comedy Trainwreck (2015). Brie's outstanding performance as a kidnapping victim in the drama Room (2015) earned her the Academy Award for Best Actress!
In 2017, Brie made her big-screen debut in the adventure film Kong: Skull Island, followed by her iconic role as Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films Captain Marvel (2019) and Avengers: Endgame (2019). She's set to reprise her role in the superhero sequel The Marvels.
