Meet Andy Serkis, a talented English actor, director, and producer who has made a significant impact in both movies and television. With his unique skills in motion capture acting, animation, and voice work, Serkis has brought to life some of the most memorable characters in recent film history.

Some of his most iconic roles include Gollum in The Lord of the Rings film trilogy and The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, King Kong in the eponymous 2005 film, Caesar in the Planet of the Apes reboot series, Captain Haddock in The Adventures of Tintin, and Supreme Leader Snoke in the Star Wars sequel trilogy. In 2018, he even directed and starred in Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle as Baloo.

Serkis is no stranger to critical acclaim, having received an Empire Award and two Saturn Awards for his motion-capture acting. He has also earned Golden Globe and BAFTA nominations for his portrayals of serial killer Ian Brady in the British television film Longford and punk rock musician Ian Dury in the biopic Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll. In 2020, Serkis received the BAFTA Award for Outstanding British Contribution To Cinema, and in 2021, he won a Daytime Emmy Award for his work on The Letter for the King.

In addition to his acting and directing work, Serkis is also a successful producer and has his own production company and motion capture workshop, The Imaginarium, in London. He made his directorial debut with Imaginarium's 2017 film Breathe and has since directed Venom: Let There Be Carnage, which is set in Sony's Spider-Man Universe.

Serkis is also known for his roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Ulysses Klaue in Avengers: Age of Ultron and Black Panther, and as Alfred Pennyworth in The Batman.
