About Amelia Bullmore
Amelia Bullmore, born on January 31, 1964, in London, is a renowned English actress and writer. She pursued drama studies at the University of Manchester before beginning her career as an actor. In 1995, she expanded her talents to include writing, contributing to television series such as This Life, Attachments, and Black Cab. Bullmore gained recognition for her role as Sonja, the Ukrainian girlfriend in the comedy series I'm Alan Partridge. She also appears in commercials for Direct Line insurance, portraying a prospective customer at a car show. Her writing achievements include being a finalist for the Dennis Potter Award in 2000 for her 90-minute drama "The Middle." Additionally, her debut stage play, Mammals, won the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize and was shortlisted for the What's On Best New Comedy Award. From 1990, she portrayed Steph Barnes in the long-running series Coronation Street and has featured on BBC Radio 4's phone-in spoof Down the Line.
