About Alan Ritchson
Meet Alan Michael Ritchson, an American actor, model, and singer who was born on November 28, 1982, in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He is the son of Vickie, a high school teacher, and David Ritchson, a retired U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sergeant. Ritchson is the middle child, with older brother Eric and younger brother Brian.
During his childhood, his family moved around a lot before finally settling in Niceville, Florida, where he attended Niceville High School and graduated in 2001. From 1999 to 2003, Ritchson attended Okaloosa Walton Community College (now Northwest Florida State College) as a dual-enrollment student and graduated with an AA degree. He was also a member of the Fine Arts Division's Soundsations and Madrigal Singers.
Ritchson's good looks and talent have earned him recognition in the modeling world, but he is perhaps best known for his acting roles. He portrayed the superhero Aquaman on The CW's Smallville and Thad Castle on Spike TV's Blue Mountain State. Ritchson also starred as Gloss in 2013's The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and Raphael in 2014's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot.
In a 2013 interview with Indonesian magazine Da Man, Ritchson revealed that he once obtained a full music scholarship but was overwhelmed. Despite this, his passion for the arts has never wavered, and he continues to captivate audiences with his diverse range of talents.
