About Ahn Hyo-seop
Ahn Hyo-seop, also known as Paul Ahn, is a Canadian actor currently active in South Korea, represented by Starhaus Entertainment. Born in Seoul, South Korea, he moved to Toronto, Canada with his family at the age of seven. Ahn returned to South Korea at 17, while his family remained in Canada, and he later graduated from Kookmin University with a degree in International Business. In addition to his acting, he is skilled at playing both the piano and violin.
After settling in South Korea, Ahn was discovered by JYP Entertainment and began training as a K-pop artist. He was offered a chance to debut with the boy band GOT7, but he ultimately chose to pursue a different path. He was then part of the project group "101 (One O One)", which released digital singles like "Love You" in October 2015 and "Stunning" in November 2015.
Ahn made his acting debut in the MBC drama Splash Splash Love, but gained significant recognition after his role in the drama 'My Father is Strange', earning him a Rookie Award in 2017. His performance in the historical drama 'Lovers of the Red Sky' led to him receiving the Excellence Award for Actor in a Miniseries/Fantasy Drama, along with the Best Couple Award with Kim Yoo-jung at the 2021 SBS Drama Awards.
On May 2, 2022, Ahn Hyo-seop embarked on a new chapter by announcing the establishment of his agency, The Present Co., in collaboration with his longtime manager who has supported him since before his debut.
