Nightwatch: Demons Are Forever is a gripping horror/thriller film that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The movie is set in a grim and eerie police station in Copenhagen, Denmark, where a group of young police trainees, including the main characters Martin and Jens, are tasked with the nightwatch duty. The trainees soon discover that the station is haunted by supernatural forces, and they must fight for their survival while also dealing with their personal demons.
The movie's characters are well-developed, and the actors deliver impressive performances. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau plays Martin, a troubled and brooding police trainee who is struggling to cope with the recent death of his wife. Martin's daughter, Emma, played by the talented Sofie Gråbøl, is a bright and curious child who becomes the catalyst for the supernatural events that unfold in the movie. Emma's meeting with Wörmer, the convicted commissioner played by Kim Bodnia, sets off a chain of fateful events that threaten to destroy everyone involved.
Wörmer is a complex and menacing character who is haunted by his own demons. After Emma's visit, he is pulled out of his coma and becomes the unwitting conduit for the supernatural forces that plague the police station. As the nightwatch duty progresses, Martin and Jens must confront their own fears and insecurities while also battling the supernatural forces that threaten to consume them. The movie's tense and suspenseful atmosphere, coupled with its well-developed characters, make Nightwatch: Demons Are Forever a must-watch for horror/thriller fans.
