"Loot" is a comedic and heartwarming series that follows the journey of Molly Novak, played by the talented Maya Rudolph. After 20 years of marriage, Molly finds herself suddenly divorced and in possession of an astonishing $87 billion settlement. With so much money and freedom at her disposal, she could do anything she wants - but what she really wants is to find meaning and purpose in her life.
Enter Sofia Salinas, portrayed by the brilliant Michaela Jaé Rodriguez. Sofia is the director of Molly's charitable foundation, which Molly had long neglected in favor of her lavish lifestyle and tumultuous marriage. Now, with a newfound desire to make a difference in the world, Molly teams up with Sofia to reengage with the foundation and reconnect with the real world.
As Molly and Sofia work together to make a positive impact, Molly learns valuable lessons about herself, her values, and the true meaning of wealth. Along the way, she encounters a cast of colorful characters, including former employees, fellow philanthropists, and even a few unexpected romantic interests. Throughout it all, Molly's journey is one of self-discovery, growth, and ultimately, empowerment.
