Set in Stars Hollow, a storybook Connecticut town populated with an eclectic mix of dreamers, artists and everyday folk, Gilmore Girls is a humorous, heartfelt, multigenerational drama about friendship and family. Headstrong 32-year-old Lorelai Gilmore carves out a life for herself and her equally willful teenage daughter, Rory.

Lorelai and Rory's unique mother-daughter relationship continues to evolve as Lorelai ponders a surprise marriage proposal, and Rory continues at the exclusive Chilton Academy and tries to sort out her feelings for Dean.

As graduation from Chilton Academy approaches, Rory's (Alexis Bledel) life becomes complex, and both her love life and Lorelai's (Lauren Graham) grow chaotic. Recurring guest stars Milo Ventimiglia (Heroes) and Billy Burke (Twilight) add drama.

Season four is a year of transitions for the Gilmores. Lorelai quits her job to realize her ambition of opening an inn of her own with her best friend, Sookie (Melissa McCarthy, Samantha Who?). Rory, meanwhile, is adjusting to her new life at Yale.

As season five of the Emmy®-winning series unfolds, Lorelai and Rory once again face major changes. In addition to recurring guest stars Jared Padalecki, David Sutcliffe and Michael DeLuise, Norman Mailer and Carole King also guest star.
