Fate/stay night: Heaven's Feel I. Presage Flower, released in 2017, marked the beginning of a trilogy adapting the darker, more complex Heaven's Feel route from the Fate/stay night visual novel. Upon its initial release, the film was praised for its stunning animation, high-quality production values, and a more mature storyline compared to previous Fate adaptations. Voices of Noriaki Sugiyama as Shirou Emiya and Noriko Shitaya as Sakura Matou were also well-received, contributing depth to the characters. While the movie was successful among existing fans, some newcomers found its plot dense or challenging to follow without prior knowledge of the franchise. Over time, Presage Flower has grown in esteem and is now considered an underrated gem within the Fate series. It is appreciated not only for its artistic achievement but also for its mature exploration of characters and themes, distinguishing it from other Fate adaptations and appealing to a broader audience.
