Que nadie quede atrás.
Octubre de 1993. Soldados americanos de élite son enviados a Mogadiscio (Somalia) en una misión de paz de las Naciones Unidas. El fin se supone que es salvar vidas, no segarlas. Pero resulta que el principal objetivo de la misión es capturar al caudillo Aidid y acabar de raíz con la guerra. Al principio, todo parece ir bien, hasta que dos helicópteros Black Hawk, aparentemente invencibles, son derribados. Entonces la misión se convierte en una desesperada carrera para rescatar a la tripulación y a los soldados de tierra que han quedado atrapados o han resultado heridos en el accidente.
