Nach seinem Aufeinandertreffen mit den Avengers ist Peter Parker alias Spider-Man wieder zurück in New York, wo er bei seiner Tante May wohnt. Doch daneben muss der von seinem neuen Mentor Tony Stark geförderte Jugendliche auch noch den Alltag auf die Reihe bekommen, den Alltag als Teenager an einer Highschool, wo er sich in Liz verguckt hat. Blöd, dass ausgerechnet in dieser Situation ein Bösewicht für Unruhe sorgt, der technisch bestens ausgestattet ist und von Rachedurst getrieben: der Vogelmann Vulture.
