This engrossing show, produced by Collins Avenue Productions, is set in the vibrant city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, specifically at the renowned Abby Lee Dance Company. Nevertheless, due to the overwhelming popularity of the original series, Lifetime announced on October 10, 2012, that they had picked up "Dance Moms" for a third season, consisting of 26 episodes. This new season debuted on January 1, 2013, promising fans more drama, dance, and the unique dynamic between these ambitious young dancers and their devoted mothers.
