Luke Harris is a high school senior with a singular passion: professional surfing. While he dreams of riding the waves and making a name for himself in the surfing world, his parents have other plans for his future. They want Luke to focus on college and preparing to grow up the traditional way, leading to a conflict between his ambitions and their expectations.

When Luke discovers there’s an opening on the local surf team, he sees this as the perfect opportunity to prove to his parents that he has what it takes to succeed as a surfer. Determined to seize this chance, he commits himself to training and competition, hoping to avoid being pushed into the college path that doesn’t fulfill him. This journey challenges Luke to balance his desires with the responsibilities of impending adulthood.

However, Luke's world is turned upside down by a devastating tragedy that forces him to reevaluate everything he thought he knew about life and his future. With the support of Emily, a sincere and devoted "church-girl," and his understanding youth pastor, Luke embarks on a journey of self-discovery, resilience, and finding his true path amidst adversity.
