CSI: Miami is a popular police procedural drama that follows the work of the Crime Scene Investigators (CSIs) of the Miami-Dade Police Department. The show is the third installment in the CSI franchise, which also includes CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and CSI: NY. The CSIs in Miami use cutting-edge forensic science and good old-fashioned detective work to solve the most gruesome and baffling murders in the sunny, tropical setting of Miami, Florida.
The lead character of CSI: Miami is Horatio Caine, played by David Caruso. Horatio is a seasoned CSI who has worked his way up through the ranks of the Miami-Dade Police Department. He is a dedicated and tenacious investigator who always gets the job done, no matter what it takes. Horatio is also a bit of a maverick, often bending the rules to get the evidence he needs to solve a case. Despite his tough exterior, Horatio has a soft spot for the victims of the crimes he investigates and is always determined to bring their killers to justice.
Another key character in CSI: Miami is Calleigh Duquesne, played by Emily Procter. Calleigh is a brilliant and beautiful CSI who specializes in ballistics. She is a native of Miami and has a deep love for the city and its people. Calleigh is also a bit of a perfectionist, always striving to do her best and make sure that justice is served. She is often the voice of reason in the team, keeping the other CSIs grounded and focused on the task at hand. Together, Horatio, Calleigh, and the rest of the CSIs in Miami use their skills, dedication, and teamwork to solve the most challenging cases and keep the streets of Miami safe.
