In the delightful and comedic film 'Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra', we are introduced to a colorful cast of characters. The bet revolves around Cleopatra's claim that her people are still great, despite the passing of the glorious Pharaoh era. She vows to build a magnificent palace for Caesar within an ambitious timeframe of three months. With her architects either preoccupied or too traditional in their designs, the task falls to the architect Edifis, played by Jamel Debbouze. The stakes are high for Edifis, as success will bring him a golden reward, while failure will result in a chilling fate: being fed to the crocodiles.

In his quest to complete the palace, Edifis seeks the help of his old friend, the wise and powerful Druid Getafix, portrayed by Claude Rich. Getafix brews a magical potion that grants superhuman strength, which he brings to Egypt with the help of Asterix and Obelix. As the project progresses, Julius Caesar becomes aware of its potential success and dispatches his troops to sabotage the construction site. However, both Caesar and the local pirates underestimate the unwavering determination and formidable strength of Asterix and Obelix.
