Maggie, a disciplined and career-focused single mother, juggles her life as a college writing instructor in the bustling city of New York. Despite her busy schedule, she feels a growing distance between herself and her rebellious teenage daughter, Summer. Determined to mend their strained relationship, Maggie decides to take Summer on a nostalgic trip to a charming Tuscan village, a place rich with her own youthful memories and past romances.

Upon arriving in the idyllic village, Maggie is unexpectedly reunited with Luca, a charming and handsome former lover who still resides there with his spirited eighty-year-old mother, Carmen.
