ALF

'ALF' is a sitcom centered around a wisecracking, furry alien named ALF (short for Alien Life Form) who crash-lands in the garage of the Tanner family, a typical suburban household. The show follows ALF's humorous attempts to adapt to Earth while keeping his presence a secret from the government and neighbors. Andrea Elson stars as Lynn Tanner, the teenage daughter, and Anne Schedeen plays Kate Tanner, the family matriarch.

Trivia:
1. ALF was performed by puppeteer Paul Fusco, who also co-created the show, and the character's full puppet head weighed about 20 pounds.
2. The Tanner family's garage set was built raised off the ground to accommodate the puppeteers working ALF from below.
3. ALF's appetite for cats became a recurring gag, mirroring the puppet's origin story where Fusco originally created ALF to conceal a joke about his cat-loving pet.
